Discipleship in the New Testament: According to the Book of Acts

Feb 5, 2023    Peter Voorhees

The Book of Acts is the second part of Luke’s two-part account written to the beloved of God (Theophilus) of all that Jesus began to say and do. This second account is how the Holy Spirit works out all that Jesus began to do.  The Kingdom of God is invading Earth ushered in by Jesus and is continuing to expand in the world through the church by the power of the Holy Spirit. Discipleship in the book of Acts looks like a new family (made one by faith in Christ) coming together in the power of the Holy Spirit to enact and walk in a Kingdom obedience, living into Kingdom reality that is and is coming.
