Discipleship in the New Testament (Philippians & Philemon)

Discipleship in the letters to the church in Philippi and to Philemon involves the church community as a radically alternative social reality, functioning under the Lordship of Christ. It consists of individual followers of Jesus making choices, drawing us to love and serve one another, and looking out for others' needs. This creates a beautiful and desirable community that begins to reflect the Kingdom of God.
