What the Rules Missed (Luke 6:1-11)
Apr 19, 2026 • Peter V
In Luke 6, Jesus walks through a grain field on the Sabbath and then heals a man's withered hand in the synagogue. Both times, the religious leaders are watching — not to learn, but to accuse. Both times, Jesus does the thing that exposes what the system has been missing all along: the actual people in front of him. This Sunday we're asking a question that cuts closer than it might seem: What has faithfulness become if it leaves people hungry and broken? And what does it look like when the Lord of the Sabbath shows up and sees what the rules missed?
