Who We Are:
City Chapel Youth is a vibrant and diverse group of young people made up of 6th-12th graders who come together weekly and monthly with the primary purpose of pursuing Jesus, being conformed more and more into His image, and loving others well.
Our Youth Mission Statement:
At City Chapel, we believe that the youth are not the future of the church, they are a vital part of the church now. As such, our mission and heart is the same as that of the entire church: Love God, Love People, Share the Gospel. We do this intentionally by gathering together weekly and monthly to study God’s Word, be in community with one another, serve the church body, and of course, HAVE FUN!
Our Goal as a Youth Leadership Team:
Let’s face it, it’s not easy being a teenager in today’s world and culture. Our goal as leaders is to create a safe and loving environment where kids are free to wrestle through the hard things in life in community with one another. Our desire and prayer is that each child knows beyond a shadow of doubt that they are seen, loved and accepted - first by a God who knows and loves them perfectly, and also by us. To this end we foster an environment where each young person is free to bring their authentic selves without fear of judgement, understanding that we all fall short and that we are all fellow sinners walking together, arm in arm, toward the only perfect One who is able to make us clean and whole. Jesus is at the heart of everything we do, and it is from a personal allegiance to Him that we seek to love these precious young people well. It is our prayer that each child who makes up City Chapel Youth would experience and accept the love that is freely offered to them by the Savior who died to save them and lives to make intercession for them (Rom. 8:34).
