Philippians: Jesus is life (1:18b-26)

“To live is Christ, to die is gain.” That verse might sound familiar. It's a nice one that we can put on our bumper stickers and mugs. But what does it mean? Is it a death wish? Is it a way for us to ignore the reality of the suffering that we see in front of us? Or is it a call to live life to the fullest? This Sunday we will be exploring Paul’s dilemma of imprisonment, of life and ministry, and of death, trying to better understand the call of faithfulness that is placed on each of us as followers of Jesus.
