(John 21:20-25 and Summary of Book) Intimate with the Infinite

Knowing about God and actually knowing God are two very different things. In John’s gospel, he gives us an intimate picture of the God that he has come to know, not only through his study of scripture, but through his closeness with Jesus. The incarnation gave humanity the opportunity to know the Infinite God in intimate ways, and the offer still stands: for you to know him and to follow him.
