He is risen! Mary Magdalene met Jesus at the tomb of Joseph of Arimathea. It was there that Mary clung to Jesus. It is an image that is pulled directly from the Song of Songs. Instead of Jesus going back to Mary’s home, Jesus goes to prepare a home for Mary and those who would believe her message of the risen Christ! How should Mary’s relationship with Jesus inform our understanding of our relationship with Jesus? The resurrection of Jesus informs all of our relationships and determines what a full and successful life looks like here on Earth.
