Faith, Love, and Hope (1 Thessalonians 1:1-3)

May 11, 2025    Peter Voorhees

What does allegiance to Jesus actually look like in your daily life? This Sunday, we'll cut through the religious fog and get practical with 1 Thessalonians 1:1-3, where Paul gives us what theologian John Calvin called "a brief definition of true Christianity." We're not talking about mental gymnastics of belief, but the nitty-gritty of faith that produces real work, love that gives strength when things get tough, and hope that powers our endurance when we want to quit. And fair warning - this message might make some folks uncomfortable if they don’t like to be challenged in an obedience that will cost something. Join us Sunday as we dig into what makes Christianity true, revolutionary, and worth giving our lives to.
