Peace (Attention) — Luke 4:16-30

We are a people at war. War with God. War with one another. War with ourselves. Peace can never be found in government: whether national or self-government. True peace can only be found in the Messiah, God made flesh, as we allow him to rebuild us and this world. At advent, we celebrate that this God has come to bring new life and to build a new Kingdom in and among us. And we anxiously await his return, where swords will be beaten into plowshares and we will dwell in peace.
